I just used the [FNAME:filter:defaultvalue(fallback text)] syntax in an email, and it doesn't seem to be working. Several responses have let it me know that it appears as code.
Quoting the email, this is what showed up for subscribers.
Thank you for your support, [FNAME:FILTER😃EFAULTVALUE(Friend)]. I couldn't keep doing what I do without readers like you.
For the record, I did not type it in all caps. The smile emoji shows up in this post, thanks to the : and D together.
UNSURE IF IT'S RELATED: This email has a bounce rate of 15.1%. This is concerning, since I've never had that before, and this was my first use of a regular email.
Hard bounces 0 / 0%
Soft bounces 4 / 2.162%
Internal bounces 181 / 97.838%
What is a soft bounce versus and internal bounce? Should I put this in a separate post?
